Speaker: Leanna Smith, KD Window Coverings

Leanna Smith is the owner and operator of MLS Interiors (K & D Window Coverings), a commercial supplier of window coverings and closets. She has spent most of her career in construction and after questioning the values of companies she worked for in the past, she and her husband quit their jobs on the same day to pursue small business ownership. After years of late nights, strict family budgets and questioning their decisions – not only to become self-employed, but also converting from residential to commercial construction, MLS interiors has grown significantly and Leanna hopes to only see that continue. Having made her faith and values a priority in everything she does, Leanna has been able to use her tough upbringing and the challenges thrown her way to her advantage and now is able to give back to the foster care community and local non-profits like Every Child, CASA, OAME, NAWIC and PBDG. Now a homeschooling mother of a 5th grader, Leanna manages her work/life balance daily by her Christ- Centered faith and with the help of her husband, Matt.
