The City of Portland’s Equitable Contracting and Purchasing Commission (ECPC)

The mission of the ECPC is to increase minorities and women-owned business participation in City contracting. If you would like to learn more about the ECPC, please visit our webpage: www.portlandoregon.gov/bibs/ecpc

One of the objectives of the ECPC is to reach out to our community partners and encourage public participation at our monthly meetings. To that end, we would like to invite members of the National Association of Women in Construction to attend the upcoming ECPC meeting, which will take place on Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at 6:00 p.m.

Discussion of City’s Baseline numbers for Professional Services contracts (6:25-6:40)

Discuss targets and priorities of the Commission (6:40-6:55)

Introduction of issues for future discussion (6:55-7:00)

     o   Procurement categorizing minority women contractors as MBEs (7:00-7:10) 

     o   Alternative Contracting

     o   Targets and Goals

     o   Other issues highlighted by Commissioners

Set recurring schedule for future meetings (7:10-7:20)

Public Comment (7:20-7:30)

The ECPC is still a relatively new commission, and would benefit from thoughtful participation from our community allies. We hope that members of the National Association of Women in Construction will be able to join us on October 20 at 6:00 p.m. at the Portland Building (1120 SW 5th Ave, Portland OR 97204), 2nd floor, room C.
